Location of the condominiums in Weitlingkiez

Lichtenberg, the popular district: in the middle and relaxed

Close to the city center, in close proximity to the trendy district of Friedrichshain, and less than 15 minutes from the city limits – and thus to the green enviroment: Many young families and students have had their esanayes on the Weitlingkiez locality in Lichtenberg in recent years: It offers a full infrastructure, including supermarkets and small storefronts, cafés and restaurants, doctors’ surgeries, schools and preschools, historic sites and plenty of green areas.

The location of the new “Maggie” development is particularly convenient for young families: An open range zoo, the shore of Rummelsburger Bucht, and the Herzberge landscape park are within easy reach, while numerous green areas and playgrounds are scattered throughout the vicinity. A small playground is to be installed in the landscaped courtyard so that children can play in a sheltered car-free area while remaining within sight. The nearest schools and preschools are located within walking distance.

Moreover, you will find plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area, and local amenities such as supermarkets, cafés and neighbourhood stores are readily available. Public transportation is also easily accessible. In short, it is an exciting and diversified environment for families and singles, for adolescents and seniors, for owner-occupiers and buy-to-let investors.

Lichtenberg is an important business location with numerous companies, from small and medium-sized enterprises, a large number of industry-related service providers, startups to hidden champions – no ICE train travels without grinding strips from Lichtenberg.
Particularly strong sectors are the highly modern and export-intensive industrial and technology companies in metal processing, tool and vehicle manufacturing, scientific equipment manufacturing and electrical engineering. With the Queen Elisabeth Herzberge Protestant Hospital and the Sana Clinics, Lichtenberg occupies a top position in the health care industry. The district also produces a great deal of print: the Berliner Zeitung and Berliner Kurier are printed seven days a week using high-speed technology, 270 million newspapers a year, and have been for over 60 years. The largest employer is the district office, which welcomes applications in various professional fields.

Everything is well within reach from Margaretenstrasse: It takes less than half an hour either by public or private transportation to get to the central railway station and Potsdamer Platz downtown, while the green outskirts toward the east are only 15 minutes away.

In fact, Lichtenberg boasts excellent transport links: Several rapid transit, bus and tram lines, an underground line (U5) and the circle line in the western part of the district as well as two federal routes provide transport links in every direction. In addition, many streets feature cycle trails.
